The German Shepherd wolf mix looked down at the feral at her paws. He could have died defending that pup like he did...She didn't understand why a feral would protect a pup. Was he...Normal? Could he speak? Could he feel? Had the radiation not effected his mind? These thoughts whirled around in the canines head, she felt bad for him in some ways. And as the days past she found herself getting very protective of her patient. She'd hear the gossip of the dogs around camp, some said he should be killed before he woke up in case he tried to hurt someone. Some said he didn't know what he had been doing, others said anyone who protected a pup deserved a second chance. Tal herself agreed with the ladder, she would do her best to care for his wounds, it was the least she could do.
